Real reports. Real chills.
Over the years, hundreds of sightings have been submitted from across the country. While most are anonymous, some arrive with detailed accounts, photographs, even timestamps. While we can’t verify every report, their consistency is chilling. Here are a few of the most notable cases from the PoolGhoul Society archives.
A security camera caught movement near a private pool at 2:46 AM. The owner reviewed the footage the next morning after finding all pool toys removed and stacked in a perfect spiral. The video shows a silhouette kneeling beside the pool, then vanishing as motion lights trigger. No prints. No tampering.
A group of teens reported a prank gone wrong. They attempted a late-night swim at a neighbor’s pool, but were startled by a deep humming sound and an icy cold wave that surged despite calm weather. One teen passed out and awoke poolside, dry, with no memory of exiting the water.
A fiberglass pool cover was found torn apart like paper, though there were no animals or storm activity reported that night. The homeowner claimed to have seen \"blue eyes in the deep end,\" but chalked it up to exhaustion—until their 6-year-old described the same thing unprompted the next morning.
A resident submitted a time-lapse showing the waterline of their pool steadily lowering over five hours with no leaks. A dark figure briefly appeared in one frame at 3:14 AM, its outline elongated and shimmering. It remained for less than a second. The family has since filled the pool with sand.
